Santiago V @RT65490799 Oct 16, 2026 If someone enjoys the horror movie genre, this is a definite must see. What I like the most about this movie is that it completely ignores the Hollywood cliches about zombie invasions. Absolutely no one has arms or legit weapons, zombies are really hard to kill, and it displays an scenario that could happen to us if such things were possible. Also, the detail that everything is filmed in a low quality camera is great, and provides extra realism to the movie. Absolutely recommended!! Though the camerawork is sickening in some parts, it keeps up its single-camera conceit well and, through performances that are as believable as they are frenzied, actually achieves the goal of putting the viewer right there in the situation. There are a few genuinely shocking and terrifying scenes, and had it not spawned an entire series of mediocre follow-ups, it would've been legendary. See more Wallef S @Wsil10 Aug 11, 2026 The film has completely confusing images; it's impossible to see the scenes properly. I imagine that was the film's intention, but I don't know if it was worth it. The last 15 minutes of the film are worthwhile. But that's all. See more Jorge S @RT34154138 Jul 14, 2026 The first film of a four-part saga are essentially horror movies that heavily rely on the "subjective camera" technique—specifically, the point-of-view shot where we see events unfold from the cameraperson's perspective. The story begins with a reporter shadowing a fire station crew as they respond to what seems like a routine call. However, the rescue of an elderly woman in a small Barcelona apartment building spirals into a bloody nightmare involving chemical threats. Cut off from the outside world, the building and its residents endure moments of extreme tension. Yet, what was merely average becomes bad. A rating of 6, and absolutely no desire to continue watching the franchise. See more Read all reviews
