Noah H @Noah85 4d Love it! A childhood classic of mine. The fact that this movie is rated so low on this site is ridiculous. As a kid, I did think it was scary, but I never thought it was a Tim Burton knockoff. 🙄 The characters were fun for me (Brain was my favorite!), the animation still looks pretty good despite this movie coming out in 2008 (What?!?!!? Am I that old?!?!) and I thought all of the voice actors really sold their characters. John Cusack was good as Igor, Steve Buscemi was convincing as Scamper, Sean Hayes was HILARIOUS as Brain, and Molly Shannon was adorable as Eva. I would definitely recommend giving this one a watch! Scamper is the most #1 relatable character in this film and its cool for Igor to let Eva be what she wants to be when he starts to take some steps back. And Brain? He's pretty funny, EXTREMELY annoying and makes a lot of mistakes but he learns his lesson once him and Scamper go to rescue Igor from the recycler. I genuinely like this film and for people who hope to one day be an evil genius, this is the film for you. IGOR is anything BUT. It is a glorious homage to numerous classics, from FRANKENSTEIN, to YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, to SUNSET BOULEVARD, and innumerable others. The cast is OUTSTANDING, and nearly every single line by each talent is a master class in voice acting. The script, the aesthetic, and soundtrack are perfect, and the result is a film that bears watching & rewatching. More than a decade after first seeing IGOR, quotations from it still pepper my speech. If that's not the mark of a true comedy classic, I don't know what is!
