Oz S @Ozsoffy Oct 27, 2026 A stylish action flick packed with bloody fight scenes, impressive martial arts, and slick production values. The action delivers, the dialogue fits the tone, and the overall presentation looks great. The Wachowskis clearly know how to put together a visually striking movie, and their work behind the scenes deserves credit. Unfortunately, all that polish can't completely hide the silliness. The story is pretty dumb, the acting is mediocre, and the movie occasionally takes itself more seriously than it deserves. Still, the blood flows, the blades fly, and the action keeps things entertaining. Not a masterpiece, but a decent ninja beatdown with some serious production muscle. See more Sandesh S @RT27234270 Sep 30, 2026 Well-choreographed fight scenes, an excellent depiction of an assassin, ninjas with blades, and the way of the Shinobi — The action is fast, brutal, stylish, and satisfying, with some seriously impressive choreography and gore. The movie doesn't hold back when portraying the violence and danger that come with being an assassin. What I also appreciated is that it isn't only nonstop fighting. It has romance, character vulnerability, revenge, training, betrayal, and enough emotional elements to give the characters something beyond simply killing everyone in sight. Raizo's journey and his relationship with Mika give the story some heart without taking away from what the movie is primarily trying to deliver. If you're looking for a realistic drama or an extremely complicated story, this probably isn't that kind of movie. But if you want ninjas, blades, assassins, brutal fights, blood, romance, and a proper Shinobi atmosphere, this movie absolutely delivers. Genuinely a go-ahead from me 👍 See more Shae M @Excelsior Sep 6, 2026 None stop Bloody Ninja action. Some of the best I have ever seen. They treat Ninjas like Horror myths and Legends. Ninjas use their Ninja Stars like machine guns. Story was basic but what it was supposed to be. Im just waiting for this movie to hit 4k bluray Who listens to critics anyway? They're useless paid shills tbh Give this movie a shot? You might absolutely love it! See more Ryan R @Patchwerk88 Sep 5, 2026 It was really fun to watch and campy but in a good way. Story isn't much to shake a stick at, but the action was great. See more Par H @Parhwy Jun 23, 2026 Ninja Assassin (2009) is a 99-minute-long multi-national action film I saw on Netflix in June 2026. Other than a short fight in a laundromat, I was not awed by the fight scenes even thought they are all amazingly filmed, edited, choreographed, etc with impressive CGI and audio. The story, plot and denouement were for me a tad too easy to see a step ahead. Just as I dislike slow zombie films (I prefer fast zombies), I prefer my ninjas to be less all-knowing, all-doing super heroes and more just really good martial artists. The blood and brutality is, frankly, cartoonish. Additionally, the conveniences were belief unsuspending. In one scene, a ninja and a non-ninja plan to achieve a goal, it goes haywire, they head in different directions… it seems. Yet they bump into each other. Says the non-ninja character, "I can’t believe I found you!" Me: neither can the audience, love. Rewatch? No. Recommend? Maybe? 4/10. See more Read all reviews
