Even if it isn't an perfect1 to 1 adaptation of the play, this movie is fantastic in it's own right. I get that many people disliked some of the changes to the classic play, but I honestly think that the changes this film made worked really well and fit better for a modern audience. The hatred that Quvenzhane Wallis recieved for playing Annie was not only downright gross, but completely unwarranted. She was the best part of this film (Aside from the fantastic music), and did an incredible job playing Annie. Ultimately, this film was a great movie, a solid adaptation of an iconic play, and a fun experience. I first watched this when I was 7, and it is the reason why I am fascinated by musicals. Even if it's got some flaws, it's still above all a great movie. See more Kevronius T @KDoggTheRottenator Jul 11 Gets too much flack. It's a great kids movie. Yes, there's PC stuff here. But it's an updated, modern version of the old movie/play based on a comic strip from the WWII era. It's amazing it works at all. Songs are great.
