Critics Consensus

Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins fail to generate the sparks necessary to save the movie from a generic and utterly predictable script.

Director Joel Schumacher does a fair job of managing the chaos, but after a while you get tired of being dragged from setup to setup.

As the film begins to lose much of its momentum and forcefulness, it's nevertheless tough to rob Hopkins of an incredible screen presence.

Everything about has been done and seen before--even right down to the title, which the very same studio used as the moniker for a Laurence Fishburne/Ellen Barkin thriller.

This movie was good I don't care what people say it's a action movie not a Oscar winning best performance just an action movie that's it don't come in here and watch this movie having expectations of academy award-winning performances is just an action movie and it's a good one

Mildly entertaining, but then I fell asleep. I doubt it gets any better. But it does have that 90s look and cinematography to it that I enjoy. Chris Rock as the spy? I think maybe the film takes itself a bit too seriously. In the same vein, Enemy of the State was way better.

Chris Crock as suave? That would take a miracle and would be an Oscar winning performance. How did they get Anthony Hopkins to join this crap? Blackmail, death threats, a whole lot of money?
