Crazy G @kerck 2d I watched the 1999 film "Bicentennial Man" in 2026, and here's what I have to say about it. What's the film about? The overall concept of the film is very interesting. Andrew, a robot, is born into the Martin family as an ordinary household appliance. But a spark of creativity and individuality awakens within him. Instead of resigning himself to his programmed role, he embarks on a 200-year journey to understand the nature of love, humor, mortality, and find freedom. In short, a robot tries to become human. Why is it worth watching? Heartfelt: This is a very warm and wise film. Emotional Evolution: Andrew's story spans centuries, and we see how the world around him changes and how he himself changes. His relationships with the Martin family, especially Amanda, are the heart of the film. Atmosphere: This isn't a dystopian future, but rather a cozy fairy tale about the future. See more Stage A @Canyonero72 Dec 12 This is one of my favorite Robin Williams films. I grew up on Mork and Mindy, I love Robin Williams zany/manic, and there are brief moments of this. This is not Mrs Doubtfire, Patch Adams, or a flubber. But this, for me, shows the warmth and emotion that he could carry. The story of an android and his flight, and sacrifice to become accepted as human. The love and loss he experienced, the improvements he makes to human health he invents in his own struggle to before human. It's heartfelt, it's tragic, it carries a warmth and sadness that only Robin Williams can convey. I watch this film when I need to feel, to feel warmth, to feel happiness, to feel sadness, to feel love and to feel goodness. I'll cry, I'll smile, I'll laugh, and I'll miss an actor lost too soon.
