Fifty T @RT01421419 3 days ago Rewatching Biwi No. 1 today was a surprisingly fun, nostalgic ride - and it clearly still works, especially with a younger audience. My teen kids genuinely enjoyed it, which says a lot about its enduring entertainment value. David Dhawan leans fully into the film's lighthearted, masala tone, and the cast understands that assignment perfectly. Salman Khan is effortlessly charming, playing to his strengths with natural comic ease, but the real standout is Anil Kapoor, who steals scenes with his energy and timing. Karisma Kapoor and Sushmita Sen balance the emotional and glamorous ends well. Yes, parts of it feel dated - especially the over-the-top emotional beats like the kids' school song sequence - and the ending is entirely predictable. But the film's sincerity and comic rhythm carry it through. 7.5/10: Not flawless, but still genuinely entertaining after all these years. See more
