Dark. Depressing. Scenes of animals being killed. Foul language. If that’s your thing, give it a try. I walked out. I don’t like to watch helpless animals being killed.

Although the film had great performances and cinematography, both my friend and myself got sick watching this film! The abuse to animals was rampant and the abuse to the other families was also horrid! I am NOT a person who can calmly watch a film that shows intentional (although not actual) slaughter of animals and hatred between people who should be kind and non-abusive to their old neighbors. It made me sick and inside, I felt like crying!

Grotesque and unnecessary turn in the story that left me feeling really bad after watching this movie. I can handle a dark plot but I dont know what kind of sicko writes this level of detail into a story that goes on far too long. The feud was already believable without needing to take the audience into the writers disgusting dark place. Its a shame because the acting was great but DO NOT see this movie.
