Carrey’s exuberant performance powers a steady stream of inventive gags, while Morgan Freeman brings effortless gravitas as God and Jennifer Aniston adds genuine warmth to the story’s emotional core. The trouble is that the film’s clever premise promises more than the screenplay ultimately delivers, frequently settling for familiar romantic-comedy formulas instead of probing its more interesting ideas. Its shifts between slapstick and sentiment can feel clumsy, and some jokes have lost their punch with age. Even so, the film’s upbeat message about humility and perspective complements its broad humor nicely. This movie is the definition of "nothing happens" the movie. like what a boring uninteresting waste of time. Jim is in a lot of funny movies and this is far from one of them. I hate everything about it, he never learns anything or helps anyone else, hes a shallow moron who cant handle the power but keeps using it for himself and not doing anything interesting with it. I can't stand movies that have the possibility to be good or funny but ruin it. Liar Liar is at least 100x better because he learns a lesson and makes the movie really funny all the while doing that.
