On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie, on the brink of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world, soon discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns that this is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen.

The film presents late-80s America so fetishistically that it feels at times like a follow-up to Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher (2014), and its recycling of 80s teen-movie cliches are also weirdly reverential.

Michael Bay is a great director, but he doesn't care about story development or character relationships. Enjoyed what Travis Knight did so far. Time for a new roll-out!

While it may not have the Micheal bay tone that we all know and love, it’s a classic film from my childhood that I love very much, and this is what got me into transformers as a kid, I like the classic G1 looks, Bumblebee was my favorite (Obviously), every character was pretty good, I would recommend the prequels to all. 9.9/10

This was a great start of the reboot. This film was my second favorite transformers film is that human characters were written well, even a main character was focus because the name of his title. 8 out of 10. It's a good movie.

Bumblebee is a great Transformers Movie. Obviously, as a diehard Transformers fan, the opening Cybertron Scene is every bit as awesome as people say it is. But, as much as I love it, it's time we look past that one scene and appreciate how great this movie as a whole actually is. Firstly, many Transformers fans, myself included, complain about the overuse of human characters in these films. But Bumblebee is the only entry into the live-action film franchise where the humans are interesting, well written, and go through amazing character arcs. Hailee Steinfield puts her all into this performance as Charlie Watson. John Cena is also a fun inclusion as well. Really enjoy the 80s vibes and the KILLER 80s music soundtrack. One complaint I have though is the villains. Shatter and Drop kick have cool moments but, in a long line of great Transformers Villains, they fall a little flat and feel a one-dimensional. In conclusion, Bumblebee is an amazing film that Transformers fans and non-Transformers fans alike will get a lot of enjoyment out of. Definitely check out Bumblebee!
