Absolutely destroyed me. I cried for an hour and couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s so beautiful and does such a good job and showing story through intimacy. I genuinely could not stop thinking about this movie, I’m rewatching it as I write this review. It broke me beyond compare and I don’t think I can ever go back to any other kind of movie. 10/10, 5/5, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ such a perfect movie. It feels like such a mix of love and betrayal, it leaves you with this strange love and hate for Oliver. PLEASE watch this movie if you need a reason to cry.

I was in love the first time I saw this movie. The cinematography, the acting all felt so alive. I really felt like I was experiencing the movie first hand. However, the second time I watched it I could not help but feel a bit disturbed by the thought that this movie might not be about first love but how a grown man took advantage of a young boy. Overall, I enjoyed the movie and I must admit that it is verry freaky but emotionally deep and philosophical. Also, the soundtrack was mellifluous and addictive. I literally became obsessed with Sufjan and could not stop replaying tracks like futile devices and mystery of love.
