Mitchel R @RT89815859 Oct 13, 2026 It could have been a story of substance about the growing trend to avoid the many painful pitfalls of human love and play let’s-pretend with robots. Or it could have been a much better pure escape story with no message, if it had sufficient wit, humor, chemistry between actors, character development, or anything good. It had nothing but impossible fight scenes, which is enough for some 8 year old boys. Even comic-book, bad stories must have at least one hook. See more Geoff G @GGinFla Jul 25, 2026 Fun lightweight sci-fi, similar in tone to a Mad Max. It’s intentionally odd trying for a comical effect, that doesn’t quite hits its potential. But this is what also gives it its charm. See more Blake- N @PBSAniDom May 24, 2026 Cherry 2000 is a mid-tier sci-fi film with an interesting concept, but it never fully reaches its potential. The mix of futuristic adventure, comedy, and romance gives the movie some charm, though the execution feels uneven at times. The film does have entertaining moments, especially with its strange post-apocalyptic setting and quirky tone. Some of the action and world-building are enjoyable, but the story can feel shallow and inconsistent, making it difficult to become fully invested in the characters or the stakes. Overall, Cherry 2000 is not a terrible movie, but it falls somewhere in the middle when compared to stronger sci-fi films from the era. It has enough creativity to remain watchable, even if it never becomes truly memorable. I rate it a 5/10. See more jerry C. @6604mill Apr 12, 2026 So bad it was funny.
