Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, twelve-year-old Eden recruits the other children in her small town to rise up and take control. Tired of having to pay the price for their parents' mistakes, Eden leads the kids on a bloody rampage, killing the adults and anyone who opposes her. Critics Consensus

Bereft of a single kernel of fear or excitement, this Children of the Corn suggests the franchise is irrevocably lost in a maize of sub-mediocrity.

The little evil girl gives a pretty solid performance in this terrible movie.

There’s a lot of screaming and blood, and kids giggling while clutching rusty farm equipment, but none of it leads to anything.

By the end of the film, the thesis on the environment and generational friction is pretty much gone in the name of churning out another version of a well-trod tale.

This new Children of the Corn is less of a remake than it is a reimagining.

[I]t is, yet again, a lazy, indifferent attempt to merge folk horror and killer kids that offers no scares, no laughs, and no fun.

the original was terrible, so I don't understand the comments l complaints about the remake. I personally had a lot of fun with this one. The demonic corn stalk monster was cheesy, but everything else was fine. it isn't perfect but I had a good time

Inept filmmaking on almost every level. The lead evil kid was nice, but even with knowing the film is about a demonic Corn stalk, all logic is utterly baffling
