After moving to a new city, young Andy Barclay receives a special present from his mother -- a seemingly innocent Buddi doll that becomes his best friend. ...the 2019 version of Child’s Play is a surprise in that it got the mix of familiar and new just right...It’s easy to see why Stephen King would get a kick out of this film, which offers a nice mesh of black humour, social satire and outrageous gore...

The new Chucky movie was basically a remake with a modern twist. Instead of voodoo magic it refers alot to Artificial Intelligence.

I thought it was an amazing movie. I think the original childs play movie fans are to distracted by the fact that it's not like the original to enjoy it. great movie imo

I did not think I was going to enjoy it this much. I get the premise was to turn all the safeguards off for an A.I. Toy doll... but still, it could’ve been something different, maybe. And I get they didn’t want to repeat a possessed doll story, but regardless... it was well done. And I mean cmon, it’s Mark Hammil! Anything with him is Gold!
