dustin d @RT12543299 May 8, 2020 Codebreaker was a fascinating, but short, documentary about Alan Turing, who I had only heard because of the Turing Test (the test of whether machine intelligence can pass for human). His life was fascinating and sad. During the War he had broken the Nazis codes and enabled the Allies to win, only to return to civilian life and be ostracized for breaking societal codes (he was gay when that was illegal in the U.K.). His contribution to tech is indisputable, and he is finally recognized both for his genius and his unfair treatment. See more

Sep 18, 2016 Fantastic archival footage and dramatization based on Turing's writings and people who knew him. See more

Aug 22, 2015 A MUST WATCH! Alan Turing was such a fantastic genius, who deserves 100x more credit than he gets. My heart just breaks when I think what the British Government did to him. I won't say anymore just incase you don't know Alan Turing's story. I think this film should be shown in all classrooms, especially in the UK. See more

Apr 26, 2015 Interesting to watch this drama/documentary which was made before The Imitation Game. See more

Mar 3, 2015 Watched the documentary after watching The Imitation Game and several videos about Alan Turing. Acting in drama was so so, but it did give a description about Turing's unfortunate lifestory. See more

Feb 16, 2015 Glad I watched this. Respect for Turing who was astonishingly smart and vulnerable. It's unbelievable that this really happened. A pretty good documentary with a bit of dramatic reenactment to keep things interesting. See more
