Teacake (Joe Keery) and Naomi (Georgina Campbell), two young employees of a self-storage company built on the site of an old US military base, have their wildest night shift ever when a parasitic fungus escapes from the lowest sublevel of the base, where it was sealed by the government decades before. As the temperature rises underground, this highly contagious and rapidly mutating microorganism multiplies and unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting terrors on the facility's inhabitants -- human and otherwise. With time running out, it's down to Teacake and Naomi, with the help of a grizzled retired bioterror operative (Liam Neeson), to contain the merciless menace and prevent the explosive extinction of Mankind itself.

A fourth-wall-breaking regurgitative stinger followed by a basso-grunge cover of "(Don’t Fear) The Reaper" and a deep-in-end-credits "Special Thanks" to, uh, wha, Jacques Tati?!? are the cherries on top of a s*** sundae that I quite relished devouring. Go to Full Review

It’s a smart, entertaining variation on a familiar formula. It’s clever without being smug, scary without losing its sense of humor, and messy in the most enjoyable way. Go to Full Review

Keery and Campbell need laid-back vibes for most of their scenes to work, but without a sense of urgency, the whole genre element falls flat. Go to Full Review

A slyly entertaining b-movie throwback that finds fun ways to deconstruct its own clichéd set-up, Cold Storage benefits from a smart script by...David Koepp...and breezy lead performances from Joe Keery (Stranger Things) and Georgina Campbell (Barbarian). Go to Full Review

Amped-up, ultra-snarky and exuberantly over-the-top, effects-wise...It’s a pity that 'Cold Storage' isn’t sharper and less padded than it is, but the amiable leads make it a tolerably goofy homage to its fifties sci-fi B-movie models. Go to Full Review

Goofy, scrappy and unforgivably chatty, Cold Storage could do with some sharper jokes and bigger scares. Go to Full Review

Dre 3h Very funny with good pacing. A fun twist on a new zombie movie. See more David N 8h Fun little movie with a good cast. It’s a horror/comedy that works well. See more Rodney 14h Entertaining but forgettable. Easily overshadowed by older films that did it better. See more Jade 15h It was so funny I was laughing out loud, and then it just has the perfect amount of creepiness and gore too. Loved it! See more H Q 20h Nice. Hollywood is not so uptight. See more red misery 22h Instantly hooked by the mounting tension and impending doom, countered by flawed, yet endearingly earnest characters. See more Read all reviews
