Being witness to Poet Laureate Andrea Gibson‘s acceptance and unwavering hope in itself is a beautiful triumph of spirit and resilience, and appreciation of Everything. Using humor and emotion to get through the grim treatments for ovarian cancer, Gibson and their wife Megan Falley project a strength and vulnerability through the ups and downs of bad news, hopefully breakthroughs, and ultimately a terminal diagnosis. That's a full court heave. Absolutely sent it. Devastatingly beautiful emotive poetry performance. Some genuinely hilarious moments in the first 30 mins, the middle 30 got montage heavy, but the last 30 mins of this doc wrecked me. A permeating story of what it means to be alive and to know we are dying. When illness comes for me or my loved ones, I will return here to see how it's lived. There's no way to do it wrong, except to refuse to bear witness to it... all of it. BONUS quote from Andrea: "I just want to have a body. I don't care what it looks like." That's a bar.
