Critics Consensus

Corky Romano continues the trend of bad movies featuring SNL members. The jokes are tired and unfunny, and the slapstick feels forced.

Eighth rate tired, unimaginative mob comedy. Go to Full Review

Unlike the pathetic protagonists of many a smart dumb comedy, Corky never becomes sympathetic, and without this fundamental irony the movie doesn't have a leg to stand on. Go to Full Review

Chris Kattan should have been in silent comedy. He has the Silly Putty face of those old slapstick stars, and a sing-song, splitting-headache vox box that would have played much better in the silents. Go to Full Review

Corky Romano, is the perfect antidote for what ails you. Although shallow and at times uneven, Saturday Night Live's ever-funny Chris Kattan as Corky, is an endearing goof-ball with a heart the size of Texas, guaranteed to make you smile. Go to Full Review

Although Corky Romano is not based on a Saturday Night Live sketch, it is still as dismal. Go to Full Review

Shan W @RT98848884 Sep 22, 2026 You guys want some cookies?! Lol this movie is a classic comedy. My wife just referenced it and it brought back some fun memories. I was 19 when I first saw it in 2001. Here in 2026 it still is funny as heck. See more
Robert S @RT16896349 Jul 11, 2026 Chris Katan’s hilarious fish out of water take on mafia families and the FBI is both ingenious and hilarious. He doesn’t fit anywhere but solves the crime, gets the girl and reconciles his family all while ,being totally hapless but endearing. The outrageous scenes include a mafia run vets office, a sit down with rival Asian gangs with a fake translator, a cocaine addled dog, the best speech to school kids ever and mouth to mouth on a chihuahua. What’s not to love!! See more

Jul 27, 2022 One of the worst movies on Disney + I have ever seen. Full of unlikeable characters, wooden acting, painfully unfunny "skits" and terrible cinematography, I can't recommend this to anyone. See more
