If you can get past the sub par acting and dialog then you will enjoy the thrills, the lore and the mild gore. See more MA A. @MWAMD Oct 5 The dialogue was unrealistic and seemed very unnatural. The acting was terrible. Not sure any of the “friends” even liked each other. The way he cussed at his mom just to have her be understanding and comfort him was laughable…no one would act like that after being yelled at. Very sloppy storyline. Basic slasher movie - no explanation why a Celtic spirit would be in the US rather than Ireland, Scotland, etc. Long time friends show callous disregard for each other, including ones they are in love with. And as is seen far too often, a monster with essentially no weaknesses and a bad ending. See more Jason W @Thejasonwatts Jul 27 I feel they went for an 80s style vibe. Some of the production is decent, as is the special fx. Some good kill scenes. However the most part of the acting was a bit of a hindrance as it was very dull and dry in the way the actors were reciting memorized lines as opposed to giving emotion (Danielle and PJ were exceptions).
