Without explanation or warning, a number of mysterious, alien “doors” suddenly appear in every corner of the globe. While many of those that encounter these sentient visitors feel the strange urge to interact with them – never to be seen again – others stay behind to face the potential threat of what their ultimate agenda towards mankind is. In a rush to determine the reason for the arrival of these cosmic anomalies, the government enlists volunteers to brave the journey to enter the doors so that we might learn more about their origin or purpose. But even these brave volunteers are not prepared for what lies beyond the threshold. The story of the doors is told through multiple perspectives: a ragtag band of high school students discover a door for the first time, volunteers explore the parallel reality beyond the threshold, and a lonesome hermit manages the seemingly impossible: establishing communication with a door.

so i put this into the cosmic horror sub genre . great acting and kept me engaged till the end but the answer is an okay but never really 100 percent makes that clear . while i get the point its trying to make i would like a clear what these entities or aliens meant anyway the 4 stories are interesting but have no real true end other assumptions you come up with and trust my guess is pretty dark. anyway it’s something to chew on and enough to be okayish at best

Too many characters, to many stories, they quite lack connection between one another, they all start brave and get lost in the end.

This movie had so much potential to be good. They had a number of decent storylines but all of them were left unfinished with numerous questions unanswered. This writing is lazy and rushed. The concept was really promising but so poorly executed.

The movie started with a lot of promise... threatening to be awesome before losing its way about 5 mins in. The actors showed that they could put in a credible performance but then started stumbling with the hokey script.

Synopsis
