Nikhil T @RT75206655 19 hrs ago Plot: The plot of the movie of the movie is Turks trying to occupy europe through Transylvania and by killing its prince and how the prince tried to stop them. While the movie starts with a nice background story the movie fails to keep the story interesting with irrelevant logic (Ex: A priest tries to expose Dracula in front of a many people by un covering a tent and let the sun rays fall on Dracula and the Dracula is too dumb to escape it. And the queen gives the order that the son of prince should not watch the monster but the little son gets to watch it anyway) And the as the movie goes by it goes even worse loosing interest and tests your patience. Final Verdict: Total waste of time See more Schube D @SchubeyDuBois 1 day ago Genuinely the most bland romanticization of Vlad Dracula; this was awful Do I think this was an effective representation of the historical figure the film is based on? No would be an understatement in this instance; this representation of Vlad Dracula is a simple case of Hollywood romanticizing a character in ways where it seems almost forced. Sure, they showcase some instances of brutality from Vlad’s character, but they depict him as this heroic guy when, in reality, in history, he was an unforgiving and merciless warrior and killer. No character is memorable, and no one seems to make any thoughtful decision with firm backing. All it is throughout the film are decisions made on impulse, almost, along with every generic element showcased. If anyone were to call Dracula: Untold an effective representation of Vlad Dracula OR Bram Stoker’s Dracula character, I would simply ask if they watched the same movie I did. Never saw it when it came out and didn't hear anything good about it, but it was an entertaining movie. Man risks everything to save his kingdom from destruction, great costume design, good casting, believable world. Fairly consistent rules of the universe. Last scene was weird, but it was definitely at least a B film. Maybe it was just the wrong time. See more Robert P @Superbad Oct 8, 2026 Dracula Untold is a 2.5 star Movie! See more Celicia B @RT69996613 Oct 3, 2026 I’ve never understood why Dracula Untold got such low scores on Rotten Tomatoes. Is it perfect? No. But the budget is clearly evident. The visuals, production design, effects, costumes, and battle scenes give it a genuinely epic feel. I loved the different take on Dracula’s origin. It felt believable within the world the movie created and gave Vlad a humanity that made his transformation into the monster we know much more interesting. I also wish we’d gotten more of Charles Dance’s original vampire. His character was fascinating, and I always felt like his backstory was being saved for a sequel which, unfortunately, never happened. And yes, Luke Evans being easy on the eyes was a nice bonus, but that’s not what carried this movie. He actually brought depth and vulnerability to Vlad. Maybe I’m giving it more grace than the critics did, but I genuinely enjoyed it. It was unique, visually impressive, and left me wanting more. Which is why I’m still annoyed we never got that sequel.
