Kyrill G @RT38548830 Jul 28 I absolutely love and adore this movie! First half is already really cool and funny. My oh my second half is magnifcent, mesmerizing and devastating. For me this is an absolute masterpiece and of my favourite new movies of all time. I wasnt bored for a second and some scenes I was even watching with my mouth gaping wide open. The directing is awesome , the story js amazing. The acting is really good, I love the soundtrack. I hope to see the other two movies in this trilogy in the near future as well. It is written and directed by a filmmaker of Egyptian descent who demonstrates absolutely zero understanding of Egyptian culture or the local mentality. What was likely intended as a serious political thriller ends up playing out like an unintentional farce. The execution is severely flawed from start to finish. The pacing is agonizing, as the director wastes hours on sluggish, aimless scenes that do nothing to advance the plot. Instead of building genuine suspense, the narrative abruptly shifts into an unearned burst of violence at the very end, leaving the audience alienated rather than thrilled. Additionally, the movie suffers from a severe identity crisis. It clumsily wavers between political satire and dark drama. This hesitation dilutes the narrative, stripping away the tension required for a genuine thriller and leaving behind a remarkably shallow storyline.
