Nearly two decades after being committed to a mental institution for killing his stepfather and older sister, Michael Myers breaks out, intent on returning to the town of Haddonfield, Ill. Great movie. I love both . The original & Rob’s. I feel too many people want to criticize it because it’s a Rob Zombie film. Get a life people. Be your own critic. Like what you like don’t listen to the outside noise.

I did not know what to expect. Zombie paid excellent homage to Carpenter’s original masterpiece. I agree with a comment that John Carpenter made on Rob Zombie’s version…Myers was TOO big. Carpenter felt it ruined the normal nature of the freak we know as Mike Myers. I really like how Zombie tied in the "Laurie" storyline. I would have liked to have seen a different ending to the movie where Dr. Loomis lives and he is the one that shoots and kills Myers. Then the closing shot is of the place where Myers is supposed to be laying dead after the gunshot but we are given a reveal shot that shows he is no longer there. I know, this is a total copy of the original film.
