The movie feels very raw. LaBeouf's voice is very unfiltered through this movie... You can tell that he's working through things as he writes the movie.

It was a bit difficult to watch, which maybe was the point, but I was more interested in Lucas Hedges' performance being at the rehab; I could have seen maybe a little bit less of the childhood, but I'm probably in the minority with this opinion.
