We happen on to this movie, it seemed really weird at first but we got really in to what was happening after we understood what it was really about. Very thought provoking and interesting for us. Start with an open mind as we did and by the end we said, wow.

Not too bad, but it's an atheist's wet dream. Poor ideology, but OK storytelling, but the meaning is dumb. Trying too hard to create meaning where there is none. It's OK to pass the time, but the ending is poor and a fairy tale to help soothe the realisation of the oblivion of their belief.

Stop comparing this movie to Cloud Atlas, they are substantially different. It compares more closely, if a comparison is necessary, to The Tree Or Life by Terrence Malick or 2001 by Kubrick -in the latter case with all the due proportions, of course-. This movie talks about that strange desire, unseen by the human eye, that drives us all to carry on despite the sempiternal struggle of being mortal. It explains this by describing 3 groups of humans ranging from -45000, +2040, +2400 therefore with different technologies and points of view about life/death/eternity, surprisingly being all accomunated by being humans. The thin red string is represented by am acorn. The focal point of the movie is that someone or something is calling them, but in this case it's not a monolith and no sovrannatural force, it's just how humans work. This movie explains how humans work.
