I rewatch it often, and I have recommended it to many people looking to change their perspective on whatever they vibe with. While it seems simple, the messages and their depth come through beautifully. The cast is amazing and it only makes the movie that much better. Keep an open mind and watch it, enjoy it, take it in really listen to the message because it's worthwhile. I think it would have done well as a television show in the 90s; it reminded me of Sliders. There was a tonal disconnect at times that made it difficult to pin down. The production values were high, but pretty much everyone was overacting except, oddly, Christopher Lloyd. The overall theme and plot were quirky and interesting, but at times felt strange in a pointlessly edgy sort of way. Also, someone involved definitely had a fetish for women with little baby-girl voices and it was creepy as heck and way too noticeable.
