Elgun K @Heheyy 11 hrs ago Shitty crap full of animal cruelty! See more SIMAS C @simas_eros Oct 28, 2026 One of the greatest classics in the vampire genre, featuring an epic story that pits the concepts of love, passion, devotion, and immortality against one another. Starring two of the biggest male sex symbols of the 90s, the film itself ignited plenty of passion—it is a work full of intensity, sensuality, and clear intent. See more Jill C @RT21449021 Oct 7, 2026 LOVED THE BOOK, saw the film on first release and it didn't hold up EXCEPT for Kirsten Dunst, who was perfection. Upon watching again in 2026, Cruise and Pitt are even WORSE than the initial viewing -- even laughable!-- and KD remains perfect for her role. See more Huntin P @PaxVobiscum80 Sep 16, 2026 Superb adaptation of the Anne Rice novel. Tom Cruise gives one of his best acting performances as Lestat, overcoming the author's scepticism over his casting. Brad Pitt is fine as the storytelling vampire, Louis. Christian Slater (always the best man, never the bridegroom) plays his interlocutor. A young Kirsten Dunst impresses as Claudia. Look out for that stunningly beautiful actress who was Tarkovsky's leading lady in Nostalgia, in one short scene. This is a sexy vampire movie, with plenty of jiggling bosoms to accompany the jump scares. It moves from the era of slave plantations, across the ocean and back, and all the way to the 1990s present. My only gripe is the unnecessary, um, shade thrown at Bram Stoker. That was a low blow, Anne. See more MG_Claymore C @Claymore Sep 13, 2026 The first half of the film I kind of enjoyed. This film oozes vampire. Lots of talent here and Kirsten Dunst has amazing skill for her age. I like Tom Cruise as a vampire and Pitt's struggle between his morality and his new vampire urges. Always nice to see Banderas in anything but that was about the only part of the second half of the film i enjoyed. The rest was somewhat boring. It just didn't hold me as much as the style of the creole south east setting of late 18th century Louisiana. I did like the very ending which was a nice touch, but nothing that would blow you away. all in all, its okay. See more Dennis F @dwfee1 Sep 8, 2026 This movie oozes with style. Lots of nudity, neck biting, and sexual tension between characters. There are definitely some interesting themes explored and many scenes that are unique and have that classic gothic style mixed with sometimes goofy interplay between characters. Kristen Dunst’s character was the most interesting, and she acted the part flawlessly, Over time, the movie dragged on a bit too long and the plot seemed somewhat aimless, which is why I dock it a bit. But overall was worth the watch, if not also to see a young Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Antonio Banderas in one movie. See more Read all reviews
