Wild child Mowgli (Haley Joel Osment) has grown fidgety with his life in a rural village. So he sneaks back to the jungle to be with his animal friends, like lovable bear Baloo (John Goodman). Mowgli's disappearance worries his family, so his stepsister, Shanti (Mae Whitman), journeys into the jungle to find him. But all is not well there. Mowgli's old foe, the fierce tiger Shere Khan (Tony Jay), is out to get him, and he traps Mowgli, Shanti and Baloo in an ancient temple.

Disney's sequel to the story of Mowgli and his jungle companions leaves out the name of Rudyard Kipling on the credits. No loss. It could well have left out the name of Disney.

Is there any other reason Disney would throw in three reprises here of the original's hit song, 'Bare Necessities' if it were not to disguise this film's 'Unnecessary Indulgence'?

The characters giggle too much (as hyper-cute Saturday morning animated offerings will do), the music isn't as well integrated into the story, and the humans come across like an Indian version of The Cosby Show.

With the 1967 animated film jungle book a sequel to it would be rather bad if it was created by an entirely different team and new voice actors added, it was just so very not Bad but like very odd to say about it with a new story to it

Hated it. As an enormous fan of the 1967 version, this one was just a disappointment. I had no idea it even existed for ages. The songs were bad and the voice acting was horrible. The story was just alright, but nothing impressive.

This movie is so boring. The songs are semi decent for little children as my wee boy loves it. He can tell me every word in the jungle rhythm song. In the movie everyone forgives eachother too quickly. Like during that jungle rhythm song the girl and mowgli are best pals when a couplr seconds ago she said he was a bad influence. They seem to show old characters for the sake of look there they are Also it seems like mowgli and the girl have some romance but in the movie description shes his step sister. Its not even like its subtle. They litro refer to it in the first couple mins. The mum n dad play a tiny part in a movie about how mowgli misses the jungle and they are tryna convince him to stay

Synopsis
