JUST SING follows a pivotal season with the SoCal VoCals, one of the country's top collegiate a cappella groups, as they pursue a record-setting sixth ICCA title. With graduation looming and expectations high, the ensemble faces the pressure of competition alongside the uncertainty of what comes next. Directors Angelique Molina and Abraham Troen take an intimate approach, capturing rehearsals, rivalries, and the personal histories that shape each performer's voice. From campus practice rooms to national finals, the film balances dynamic performances with unguarded, behind-the-scenes moments, offering a close look at the discipline, camaraderie, and transition that define the chapter of the group's lives.

The stakes both dramatic and emotional play differently, in part thanks to A Capella’s whimsical charm and its ability to tug at heartstrings with an unabashed serving of heartfelt cheese.

This is my jam. It is exactly the kind of thing I would watch because I’m interested in the material, and not just for review purposes. If it popped up on Netflix, for example, it would be on like Donkey Kong.
