Though it bogs down at times, Yoon Jong-bin's kimchi Western is a rousing, lavishly produced delight. Go to Full Review

For all its gloss, "Kundo" fails to resonate. You appreciate the execution, but the film is hindered by its lack of novelty and metaphorical weight. Go to Full Review

It's not a classic you'll rave about for days, and at 138 minutes it does go on too long, but for fans of Asian period action, it will certainly serve. Go to Full Review

R T @RT01838969 10/08/2024 A very good subtitled Korean film. It's spaghetti western influence is fun, a Magnificent Seven feel. So glad to stumble across this. Enjoy with popcorn!! See more Luke B @KuubRahl 01/26/2023 An excellent blending of martial arts genre with an American Western style, pace, and feel. Even the background music lends itself to a Western atmosphere. The plot is part Robin-Hood, complete with corrupt officials and a rich and powerful enemy, and also part revenge and redemption story. If you like action scenes with weapons and hand to hand martial arts fighting, combined with Asian and Western cinematography, this is the film for you. See more 12/02/2021 The best Korean movie. See more 02/18/2017 Kang Dong-won, so charming! See more 10/05/2016 good historical epic See more 06/14/2016 Have you only killed animals? A ruthless tyrant has taken over the countryside but has numerous rebellions that keep popping up and making trouble. He hires a local butcher to execute a key mission, but the butcher feels sorry for the target and fails to complete the task. The tyrant orders the butcher to be murdered, and it almost happens, but he escapes and continues to protect those he originally targeted. "That's why he's crying. Give him a tit to suck on." Jong-bin Yun, director of The Unforgiven, Beastie Boys, and Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time, delivers Kundo: Age of the Rampant. The storyline for this picture is very entertaining with some compelling and fascinating sequences. The action scenes are awesome and well executed, but some of the writing is inconsistent. "I can kill hundreds every day if you give me the job." I came across this sometime ago on Netflix and had to add it to my queue. This is very entertaining and came together well. There was some comedic content sprinkled in here and there I didn't feel flowed well with the theme, but this was worthwhile and worth a viewing. "That's the shittiest bullshit I've ever heard."
