Alain E @AlainE Feb 21 A very inventive and original psychological thriller from South America. A man with weak fidelity genes has sequential relationships with two women. The first disappears mysteriously, but we quickly learn that she is trapped in a secret compartment of the house they rent (built by the original Nazi fugitive owner) unable to come out. Girlfriend number two eventually discovers what happened and is then her turn to disappear. In the end girlfriend number one is watching the sunset alone and we assume the man is actively recruiting girlfriend number three. Good color photography. Lesson learned: don’t piss off your girlfriend, especially if she is smart. See more Vladan A @RT81223872 02/19/2024 The whole movie is laughable. Writing and acting are really really bad, there's little to no emotion at all even in the most heart-breaking and serious situations. I like the idea but the execution is quite bad. See more Simon T @Bucksplit 12/03/2020 Clever and beautifully acted Hitchcockian thriller. At its best during the quieter sequences, when suspicion and jealousy are allowed to play out logically. The big plot twist two-thirds of the way through is genuinely surprising and in less skilful hands would probably snuff out any plausibility, but here it transforms a good mystery into something approaching tragedy. Well worth seeking out.
