Critics Consensus

When Steven Soderbergh rounds up a cast this talented, it's definitely wise to Let Them All Talk -- and this light yet rewarding dramedy more than lives up to expectations.

The characters' disconnection from each other also tends to disconnect them from the viewer, making the film's transatlantic crossing aboard the Queen Mary 2 a long and languorous affair.

A clever and absorbing film that feels, alas, a little unfinished and a touch too improvisational.

"Let Them All Talk" offers enough surprises of tone, pleasures of mood, and piquantly composed images to carry the film through with a sort of visual music, compensating for the dramatic thinness without overcoming it.

Despite its halting modesty, though, or perhaps because of it, it’s one of Soderbergh’s more distinctive achievements of imperfection.

Let Them All Talk feels like you’re sitting down to watch a documentary. His continued eye for detail brings such a layer of humanity to the characters. For better or worse, their lives are open for all to see.

Let Them All Talk ties all this greatness together in a perfect bow. My favorite movie of 2020 without a doubt...

What a difference between the tomato and the popcorn meters! Great screenplay, directing, and acting. Another winner with Meryl Streep.

This was a very slow drawn out movie. The slow speech, the slow plot. Just awful. I started the movie because of the actresses in the movies and that did not help at all. The ending was awful. They went back to the same lives they had before. Not sure why they all went on this trip together if they did not want to spend time together. Let them all talk need to go on a vault and never come out.

A looser effort from Steven Soderbergh, Let Them All Talk nevertheless benefits from a sharp cast and measured screenplay.

If you can appreciate a movie where the fictional characters come across as real people, then this is your masterpiece. The acting is phenomenal, as is the writing. I loved it, even though I was very hesitant when starting to watch it.
