Wanuri Kahiu’s Look Both Ways in other contexts might simply be a fairly inoffensive feel-good romance riff. As it is, though, the film’s lack of courage is painful and unforgivable. Go to Full Review

[It] is, overall, a nice movie. But it’s too facile to connect deeply. Go to Full Review

It manages to tackle real-life issues in an approachable and safe way with a smart and lighthearted conclusion. Go to Full Review

Look Both Ways tries to cover five years in two separate timelines in less than two hours, but isn’t interested in the minutiae that really make up life. Instead, it’s broad strokes that barely amount to anything of substance. Go to Full Review

Look Both Ways works as a rom-com because you get to lose yourself in a world filled with conventionally attractive people going about their lives. Go to Full Review

Jordan S. @jswez 1d It somehow managed to keep my attention despite the lack of comedy and romantic tension. See more David s @RT95170307 Aug 9 Don’t waste 2 hours of your life watching this film…it was extremely hard work. See more kavishka k @RT15847236 Aug 2 everything unfolds for a reason I first watched Look Both Ways back in 2023, and recently rewatched it 2025 and wow, it still hits deep. I watched it again mostly because of David Corenswet. He looked so different then—not the bulky Superman we know now—but he had that same quiet charm that draws you in. The story is simple but powerful. It beautifully shows how no matter which path life takes you, everything unfolds for a reason. It reminded me that life may not go exactly as planned, but in the end, things work out. Every version of life has meaning. Faith is faith. If you need comfort, clarity, or just a little hope—this movie is exactly that. Highly recommend giving it a watch (or rewatch). 🌿 See more nemadans L @RT12517770 04/09/2025 Relatable!! This hit deep!! Must see 🤩 See more Micaiah T @RT22874836 03/10/2025 I really loved the movie and thought it was super sweet 😍 See more Miranda A @RT43116169 02/24/2025 I love this movie. I cried a bit. It’s so well thought out and the small details they place in the right places throughout the movie. It’s great. I feel it really captures the meaning of “ if it’s meant for you it will happen eventually” which I love as different steps in her life occur. See more Read all reviews
