Marcos, a downtrodden employee at a grimy cafe in a crack-ridden São Paulo neighborhood, is captivated by a customer in the corner holding her coffee without taking a sip; staring intensely, dressed to the nines. As Marcos' intrigue grows he unwittingly follows her into a 'mundo fantástico.' Soon he is caught in the middle of a hyperbolic gang war between two tribes of glamorously bespoke modern-day vampires, whose looks do more than kill. Bathed in mesmerizing neon with slick and savvy cinematic panache to spare, Love Kills is a scintillating, action-packed tale of seduction, redemption and bloodlust.

The cast is strong, especially the two leads. But the writing for the male lead isn’t very good, making him seem dumb throughout. But even with that being the case, this is still a slick ride that bites when it matters. Go to Full Review Read all reviews
