Documentaries like this are not simply seen but experienced. And there is nothing more comforting than a dark room with a bunch of strangers to make one feel the fragility of the human spirit in front of art and creation. Go to Full Review

We took great pleasure in watching these brief, beautifully restored films, and at the same time came away with a deeper appreciation for the origins of cinema. It was astonishingly beautiful to behold, especially considering that the film stock is well over a century old. The restoration must have required tremendous care, turning these 50-second fragments into something that felt vivid, immediate, and alive.
