Like other standard examples of the American holiday movie, this Hanukkah-focused offering is as mediocre as it gets.

Oh dear ... this was the most painful movie to watch in the entire universe dripping with sap and stereotypical cliches.

Had enough of Christmas films? How about Hannukah movies? Menorah In The Middle is a hoot! A bit schmaltzy, but definitely a feelgood movie. I enjoyed all the cast, even though Danny Devito's daughter was probably a good ten years too old for her role, and the guest appearances from Sarah Silverman seemed more like her playing herself, rather than an acting performance. The film embodies core Jewish family values of kindness, hospitality, and generosity. There's also a minstrel who pops up from time to time to narrate. Unchallenging, but fun.

Truly painful to watch. This is practically a Jewish exploitation film. Oy Veh make it stop

Follows the typical movie formula. City girls returns to her home town. That being said, the Silverman sisters are hilarious as always. The boyfriend, Chad, is hilarious and definitely a great part of the cast. I also loved the musical interludes with the guitar player.
