A so-so police movie with a weak plot, shaky camera work, and cardboard characters. Pacing and audio was off. It’s not as good as Bad Boys or even a regular episode of Miami Vice. I cannot believe the guy who did Heat made this movie.

Michael Mann’s movie adaptation differs significantly compared to the tv series. Although the visuals and battle scenes are fantastic as usual from Mann and his team… the plot seems very flat and dry with characters that are one dimensional.

We need more movies with speedboats, this movie also needed more speedboat scenes. Jamie Foxx is in multiple nightclubs, shootouts, and has his girl blow up and never speaks over a whisper, incredible.
