Unfortunately, "Midas Man" feels like a missed opportunity to get at the heart of this tragic figure, the visionary architect of Beatlemania. Go to Full Review

For Beatlemaniacs, though, little if any of this will be breaking news, and the film’s often dreary look hobble Midas Man as much as its decline-by-numbers narrative. Go to Full Review

Midas Man is never less than watchable, and it does capture something about Brian Epstein that’s honest and affecting. Go to Full Review

This slight but affectionate biopic of The Beatles' famed manager Epstein is carried by a charismatic turn from Fortune-Lloyd as the successful but troubled entrepreneur. Go to Full Review

The fast pacing does come at the cost of truly diving into a character study of Epstein. Go to Full Review

A wry biopic of the man who discovered the Beatles, transforming them from a scraggly quartet into the most consequential band. Here's a never-less-than-engaging look at not totally surviving the sixties, a perfect Brit counterpart to A Complete Unknown. Go to Full Review

Jeff Mar 26, 2025 If your a Beatles Fan or have been to Liverpool this is a must see about the life of Brian Epstein (he has a large statue thre). See more Jill Mar 22, 2025 This film was EXCELLENT See more Baron V @Baron82 2 days ago Interesting from many respects, but disappointing in others. First, the good: got a lot of little details right - locations, look and feel of the era, the faces/hair/clothes of the Beatles and other characters. Accents are spot-on, sets and period details are great. Good facial resemblances for the Beatles, Cilla Black, Gerry Marsden, Billy J Kramer, etc. Eddie Izzard as Allan Willams was good. Not-so good: Jay Leno as Ed Sullivan was a head scratcher. As they pan around, Jay's chin comes into frame before anything else. Strange to see the height difference between Jonah Lees (Lennon) and Fortune-Lloyd (Epstein). John, Paul, George and Brian were all about the same height....but Lees looks to be about 5'6", and Lloyd is almost 6'3"...and they made no attempt to minimize that, standing them right next to each other in some shots. The "Tex" character seemed bolted-on, and the up-beat tone / 4th wall stuff was strange, considering how Brian ended up. See more Marcus T @MarcusT12 Oct 27, 2026 It was a shame they couldn't get rights to any of the Beatles catalogue. I was prepared to like this movie as I feel Brian Epstein didn't get the credit he deserved. Not knowing a lot about Epstein, I came away feeling that the movie didn't do him justice. It mostly focused on how unhappy he was. It focused on his struggles with being gay in a less enlightened period. It made it seem like he took no pleasure or solace in the success he achieved and what he had done for the Beatles. His interactions with the group played too small a role in the screenplay. The Beatles were quite broken up and lost after he died and that was the beginning of the end of the group. See more Arthur R @RT88125953 Sep 16, 2026 Interesting enough look at the life of Brian Epstein, though not sure if it covers everything. The performances are serviceable and the structure of the film is a bit hit-and-miss but ultimately Beatles fans will enjoy another retrospective. I wouldn't say this film turned it all to gold, but Epstein sure found a bit of magic See more Nigel J @NwJC24 Jul 22, 2026 As a big Beatle fan I was excited to see this movie. Very, very disappointed. Many inaccuracies in the story telling and choice of songs. By half way through I was looking forward to the movie being over. See more Read all reviews
