Minority Report does offer a few issues to ponder, and given the mindlessness of most summer action specials, it’s something of an intellectual feast, even if it’s all hors d’oeuvres.

bording flat and I am sick o watching movie where tom cruise just runs around lolz certain plot points make 0 sense and the whole thing is built on a magic of a sort this is not veyr good scifi I bet the book is a lot better I was bored.... it was very woke n feminist

Minority Report earned its place as a 2000s classic with ease. A world was built around the story, and the level of immersion is something I hope filmmakers aspire to achieve today. Tom Cruise is in peak form, and Spielberg delivers textbook shot framing and story development. There are few continuity questions, quickly forgotten amid a slew of impeccably tight action sequences. MR balances white-knuckle tension with layered storytelling better than most releases since. The philosophy within asks what the exchange of autonomy and privacy for safety means to you. Even the advertisements are crafted with purpose within the world of MR. It is a very rare case of ads adding to the atmosphere, rewarding the viewer and giving even more life to a setting already overflowing with things waiting to be discovered. Minority Report feels like the kind of film where something new can be found on every rewatch; within the world, behind the eyes of its characters, or buried in the story details.

4.25 ⭐️ Mind bending in the best way! A proper brain workout. Half the fun was trying to keep up, and the other half is already looking forward to a rewatch to piece the puzzle together.

Watching this again in 2026, it still holds up. Sci-Fi at its best. How did Philip K. Dick predict the future so clearly? He was a pre-cog.
