gibran carrillo Oct 19 When this movie first came out in theaters I did not watch it in theaters unfortunately. I regretted not going to see it in the big screen as a kid. Now as an adult, finally getting the opportunity was GREAT. This movie really is GREAT and it gave me so much nostalgia. I loved it then and love it now. Class or possibly even a masterpiece!!! The motion-capture technique hasn't aged well and gives the characters an odd look, but the plot and atmosphere more than make up for it. It is one of those rare animated films that truly delivers, offering a mysterious, dark story with excellent pacing that keeps you hooked from start to finish. See more Spencer C @movierater6688 Jun 30 Great movie I loved the monster house both as a younger kid and now it has both a suspenseful vibe that keeps you on the edge of your seat and a lot of funny jokes at the same time and it really does keep you focused if you actually pay attention to the movie you don’t goof off with it’s fun and interesting things as for the characters I like DJ I like chowder I like Jamie, I like Mr. Deborah cracker every character that was a side character was honestly kind of funny and I know not a lot of people count this as a character, but I also like. Constance both as the flashback as her human and asked the house pretty great villain, and you can feel bad for her. And saying that she’s a little bit bad ass cool, unique story, good plot, twist, and cool without them not a lot of people who like animated and realistic visuals, but I like how this movie does it my only negative is it’s kind of stupid that only the main characters noticed the house rampaging makes the others look annoyingly stupid See more Drew M. @Stonehands211 May 13 This was a huge surprise! The camera work in this is kind of insane. It’s a true coming of age kids film that doesn’t hold back on anything. The jokes are good. The thrills are actually good.
