Sal D. @JustTheLaw May 16 Good enough to make it through this movie, but I was left wondering how this could been a better project. The performances were more than adequate and the pace & directing was at least good enough to score higher. I think my critique lies with the script lacking something. The focus of the storyline is on the protagonist’s mission and yet, that just didn’t feel like enough to garner more from me. When reflecting back, there is a hum drum to the film thar does nor align the focus of the story and maybe thar’s why it fell a little flat for me. The director clearly wanted to show how much suffering a pregnant teenage girl goes through, and that message came across powerfully. However, the movie offered no sense of hope. It ends on such a tragic, hopeless note that it makes you wonder: are we really that hopeless in real life? As viewers, we don’t want to leave a film feeling empty or emotionally stranded, with no light at the end.
