See more Laura D @RT47838800 11/21/2024 I hung in there hoping all the grubby folks in his hometown would have a reckoning and he'd be reconciled with his property and dignity but there was never reckoning with the jerks who took him for granted. It's not satisfying not to have justice and closure. Sweet, slow, likable, cute but I want that pastor to have the cement wall torn down and his home recaptured from the devious priests. I want the main character to become mayor and reclaim all his property. If not, why the hell was this film made? Just to say that people are fleeced? Not ok. Ugh. We long for reconciliation and people being reinstated. This fell flat and sad. It didn't say he was good just that his love wanted to maybe take a trip. For the US audience, we'd love to know that he got his due in life, respect, retribution, and love. Where did he and his love end up living? In her fancy place or his place renovated? Did his other guys live in his expansive villa from then on? Did the pastor pay for retribution? It could have been a US sensation but maybe it's just an Italian hanger-on?
