Critics Consensus

Polished as a business presentation and just as impersonal, Office Romance is headed by a likable pairing but proves too content to follow the rules of standard rom-coms to nab a promotion into the C-suite.

Audience Says

A lightweight affair with a bit too much raunch, J-Lo & Goldstein can do no wrong -- except getting tangled up in this Office Romance.

Despite their momentary delight, films like Office Romance tell us that Hollywood is stuck creating outdated movies for a version of our romantically yearning culture that doesn’t exist anymore. Go to Full Review

The character work is sharp and the supporting cast a hoot. But the film’s diversions into “raunchy” comedy are awkward. Go to Full Review

Good romantic comedies make us desperately want two people to end up together. Office Romance achieves the exact opposite: you end up wishing they'd both return to their respective offices as soon as possible… [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Think “Notting Hill” by way of “American Pie.” It doesn’t fly, but there are a few chuckles along the taxiway of failed funnies. Go to Full Review

“Office Romance” is the latest dime-a-dozen romantic comedy to come down the streaming pipeline. It’s also among the more inconsistent ones as director Ol Parker struggles to make something worthwhile out of its many romcom clichés and misguided swings. Go to Full Review

Andrei B @RT24930945 1d Light comedy - funny sometimes needs to be corny, fantastic for an easy evening. Totally worth the watch. See more R T @Imperfectlyperfect 1d Is it me or it feels like it’s not even her acting anymore!?!? 🤧#wtfwasthis #bringoldJLOback See more Devin S @RT80842187 4d It was a delightful movie! Much better than I anticipated it being. Brett Goldstein was very good in this as was J-Lo and the supporting cast. Writing was funny and quick hitting. If you’ve ever seen Brett Goldstein before it even watched a few minutes of Ted Lasso, you’d understand there may be some words in there you sensitive types might not care for. But we are all adults, they’re words, you’ve heard them before. Laugh and move on. The movie was well done! I surely recommend. See more Kathy O @KathyOak 6d Too raunchy, undercut whatever charm there was in the story. The epilogue sequence was especially gross. See more Christina D @NinaNinaBobina Aug 26 I am not a fan of J Lo, but this movie was actually decent. And I now have a new obsession in Brett Goldstein! Their chemistry was pretty good. And he is gorgeous. See more Vilu S @RT89163136 Aug 26 I had reservations but this was a great film for date night. The film had some hilarious moments 😃 See more Read all reviews
