Thomas S @RT53929595 02/22/2025 Save yourself some time : juste read the book. Except for the landscapes, the movie adds literally nothing to it. It is just a succession of quotes with some pale attempts to introduce new characters. Where to start. Almost at the very beginning, Jean Dujardin is hiking in the hike with a white buttoned shirt and a gilet. What??? But okay. Then Dylan came into the picture. Their first scene together is just a huge cringe. Wait, you pass out in the wild, somebody wakes you up, and not even a thank you, just : "give me my sticks", and looking at your map? The rest was just a succession of shots following the book. Some quotes don't even make sense if you haven't read the original. For example after Pierre has his seizure, he says "It's a volcanic land". How ould the viewer guess what he's talking about??? Anyhow, I love Dujardin, but this one just wasn't for him.
