Krzysztof P @RT62723140 Jan 31, 2022 Niby o człowieku w otwartym związku (i to jest ok), ale przez większość czasu o niczym. Taka nuda, że już każdy dzień mojego życia jest ciekawszy See more

Nov 24, 2021 After a mesmerizing opening scene, controversial filmmaker Carlos Reygadas delievers his most conventional film to date, and also -and maybe therefore- the least absorbing and haunting. I would have actually prefer the pretentiousness of " Post tenebras lux" than the uneven and cold story of " Our time" , film saved only by some good twists and acting efforts. See more

raphael g @raphagimenes Nov 18, 2020 My least favorite film by Reygadas so far. It just wasn't as spellbinding and magical. But it was very beautifully made, and the story is very sad and very real - saying that as someone who was 11 years in a relationship! See more

Brian M @RT80766082 Nov 14, 2019 Carlos Reygadas has become one of the greatest film-makers of our time. All his films have been great works, but this is his first masterpiece, exploring most of the same central themes of marriage, fidelity, infidelity and ranching that his two previous films ('Silent Light' and 'Post Tenebras Lux') have, but with more coherence and focus than 'Post Tenebras Lux', and more depth than either of them. Nothing about movies engages me as much as masterful cinematography, and I've encountered very, very few directors whose cameras have awed me with their grace, uniquity and creativity as much as Reygadas has with his more recent works. The visual texture of the Digital Cinema Package format is definitely a hindrance, but this is easily the most visually astounding film I've ever seen made with it. Over and over and over again, I found myself asking 'How in the hell does this man DO it?' See more

See more

Jul 18, 2019 Musings on a disintegrating marriage. It is an tried and tested–if not unoriginal–story told in an uninspired way. The cinematography is breathtaking, with aerial views of Mexico City and horses galloping through the mud in torrential rain. There are also some interesting moments acted by Reygadas' actual family. But the marriage and family dynamics don't tell us anything new, and are just not interesting enough to capture the audience's attention for 3 hours–which in reality feel more like 6. By the end of the film, I felt more or less disgusted by all the characters, but mostly, I just felt bored.. See more
