The mystery surrounding Robbie keeps things interesting for a while, and the final act delivers some creepy moments. But the formula is becoming repetitive, the story feels stretched, and too much of the franchise's mystery has already been explained. A decent but increasingly familiar sequel. See more Yash B @yashbansal Aug 7 The "Paranormal Activity" franchise started out with a hit movie that was talked about for years and continued on a steady decline with the sequels. I would say this fourth movie is truly just bad and lazy. I don't find it scary at all, and it is mostly just repeating the tricks of the past movies. It is also a boring story with characters I never found myself invested in. Overall, it is a true example of a sequel existing for the sake of it and likely to grab box office success, because it does not feel as creative as any of the other films in the series and is ultimately forgettable.
