Peter W @RT12077588 Oct 23, 2026 Penny Lane Is Dead succeeds as a fun, brutal, and relentlessly entertaining horror experience. Packed with Aussie slang, dark humour, and plenty of mayhem, the film gradually transforms from a character-driven setup into an absolutely wild, blood-soaked spectacle. What ultimately makes the film so enjoyable is its constant desire to push things further. Just when it feels as though the madness has reached its peak, the film finds another way to escalate the chaos. Combined with its colourful villains, practical gore effects, dark humour, and grindhouse attitude, the result is a horror film that feels determined to entertain at every opportunity. Tahee Fereday and Sophia Wright-Mendelsohn deliver standout performances, while the legendary Steve Le Marquand remains as charismatic as ever. Ben O'Toole disappears completely into his role, helping make the ensemble one of the film's strengths. Bloody entertaining from start to finish. See more Matthew T @RT18152178 Sep 20, 2026 Literally the plot and runtime were just insanely long shots of people staring intently. The "horror" element is just dumb decisions and the "heroes" just not killing the villains. Like it's 2026, this is just edging and it's the worst most annoying feeling you can make a viewer feel is frustration. I had to fast forward through some of the empty scenes and 1:30 later they hadn't moved! Still staring. That's just bad writing. They actors did well, but you can't polish a turd. Nice twist in the end and plenty of bloody kills makes this 90 minute horror comedy movie a blast to watch. The make-up effects are great and I absolutely loved these characters. We need more horror movies like this. Australians know how to make a good movie. Tim Treakle See more Glen B @RT61080731 Sep 16, 2026 Why the F did I watch this piece of crap? Ughhh See more Lona P @RT09706648 Sep 14, 2026 The whole story line was horrible. Acting was bad. There were so many inconsistencies in the overall production of the whole movie. Waist of time.
