Plight is a busy film with a frenetic pace throughout. The solid performances from Plumb, Pasternak, and Manuel drive the melodrama intensely. Go to Full Review

Jack P @JPaul500 1d This came on right after I finished another film and I could not stop watching. Certainly, as indie as you can tell the story is contained and nobody is really recognizable. But it wasn't short on quality or intrigue. I feel like this was the independent film version of Parasite. High marks on every front. See more Trevor B @TrevBills 3d Nice little indie film. You can tell they made the most out of what they had. Still not sure who the good guys are but I guess that was the point. Solid story. Good acting. Well done. See more Stan W @StanWiz Apr 3 Excellent story, captivating imagery, engaging performances. A high octane punch in the gut that leaves you wishing the world were a better place. See more Ephraim C @EphraimCobb27 Mar 25 Highly charged pace and beautifully shot. This film was a surprise and had me wanting to hug my children by the time it was over. See more Catherane S @Catherane Mar 8 This is a complex tale of tragedy, how it affects the behavior of those involved and the choices they make. The opening of the film is beautifully done with many visuals of the town in which it is set. Ada Pasternak, as Valentina, was fascinating to watch as her thoughts played across her face. Towards the end, the canvas is shown that Valentina paints throughout the film. It is a stunning work. See more Jerome V @Jeromevalverde Mar 4 A solid addition to the small town crime/revenge subgenre. "Plight" illustrates that good drama comes from understandable characters and well-laid conflicts, not pyrotechnics or celebrity names. Actors Matthew J. Plumb and Ada Pasternak bring modulated tenderness and emotion to their roles. Ultimately, our heroes find themselves up against a sinister foe with a much darker heart than theirs. The ending took me by surprise. Writer-Director M.J. Alhabeeb Jr. navigates this drama with insight and sensitivity. Art direction and production value are solid throughout. Well worth watching!
