Altay T @RT97001310 Aug 22 When I watch a film, I want to think something. I love the vibe, feeling, concept but Pulse is off for me because of it's transforming ideas to a film is not successful. I think Kurosawa's main problem for me is the lack of voiced thought. I can't predict the internal monologue of someone, they need to contemplate their existence and death audibly. Ghosts that don't attack is a good notion, it at least separates a little bit ghosts from supernatural; that's appreciated by me. Normally I love existential horror but the film's way of thinking about death is lacks foundation. You can't think about death without philosophy, if you do you will speak gibberish like those characters. I loved the feeling and atmosphere but I usually not search for it. I’ve never seen a film portray the loneliness and fleeting nature of life as brilliantly as Pulse. The sparse, lonely atmosphere created by the director and crew is astounding. Pulse changed the entire genre of horror for me. The unbridled disquietude and mind tearing consternation that viewers face watching this is indescribable, it is legendary. Kurosawa’s cinematography draws in the viewer with a unique angle and editing that rivals even modern day horror and thriller movies.
