NO W @RT74182535 Oct 27, 2026 What a disappointment. Turned an interesting book into a dull social justice piece. There was so much more to work with. Read the book. Joey King does a great job as lead actress See more Thomas D. @LV-426 Dec 26, 2025 This is not the complete true story of the Radium Girls. They have used parts of the true story to poorly assemble a fictionalised drama that ruines the true gripping story. Read the book by Kate Moore! Or listen to the Audio Book. See more Amelia H @RT26845961 May 4, 2025 Great one of a kind film about a very niche and specific part of history so was very informative and surprisingly accurate. The film portrays the story quite well, however definitely does not feel like being immersed into the history. Could tell this was made on a tight budget which is unfortunate, but I would still recommend a watch if you are into history based films. See more Gayle G @RT04798030 Nov 14, 2023 I enjoyed the movie and I think it was nicely acted and told a good story. But here are some things that bugged me. I was a little annoyed about all the period clips. There were just too many of them for comfort. It took away valuable time for storytelling. I thought the courtroom scenes were too short and unrealistic. The lawyer for the girls didn't seem to be putting up much of a defense. The real-life lawyer probably did a better job. The politics and love story were overdone and a bit gratuitous. Did factories have no security in those days? Employees could sneak in at midnight and have a party and steal the paint willy-nilly and former employees could just march in whenver they felt like it? Finally, I have this huge pet peeve about the way the girls did the painting. The boss told them to dip, lick, paint. The actual order was lick (or lip), dip, paint. Why would you dip your brush into the paint and then lick it off? The lick was to get a point on the brush and then put paint on that fine point and then paint the numbers. It was such a small thing, but it bugged me. Finally, I wish they had told the story of the actual radium girls and made it historically accurate, rather than fictionalized. In spite of all this, I mostly enjoyed the movie and found it very touching. At least it gets people thinking about the radium girls. Its all over the place with random overly political moments that have no point in being in the movie and draw from the plot. See more Read all reviews
